JOEY'S THEORY

The law of behaviour

It was Joey, a 35 year old Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, who guided my attention.

When I say "guided", I mean "bit me" - 25 times in 18 months - until this hammer of evolution finally struck my conscious.

He was scared of everything and had to be "protected" in every moment.

I changed my handling of him to that of a super protective relationship in which I endeavoured to make him feel safe and secure in every moment.

The success of this approach was immediate and obvious.

Offering love, "the lack of all fear", to Joey created an extraordinary close tight bond in which he could offer love back and overcome his 35 years of poor insecure conditioning.

Joey's Theory

"All behaviours are different levels of insecurity; love is the complete lack of it."

Relevance

The next stage of human evolution is not a physical adaptation but a behavioural one.

The realisation that insecurity dominates our every behaviour, except one, will propel Homo sapiens into the next paradigm shift where the prevailing culture will reinforce and condition love and security in every individual.

A new era of self-security and love being the true measurement of people's ultimate development and potential.

An individual's level of security, not insecurity, will be the recognised ruling denominator of social status.

The more love you give the stronger you are.
